Keep it Simple

I'm a big fan of simple cards and 'A Little Foxy' DSP certainly paved the way for this simple creation.  I love the colours in the Foxy Suite- fresh, funky and modern!

I stamped the sentiment using the 'Labeler' set.  A handy one to have, that's for sure.  The stars are from the 'Metallic Enamel Shapes' pack.

See you soon! x

Scenic Sayings-yes please!

I'm getting a lot of use out of the 'Scenic Sayings' stamp set.  It's actually a set I won in the Prize Patrol at Onstage earlier this year.  :)  Thanks Stampin' Up!

For my first card I have embossed the sentiment with 'Copper Embossing Powder' and the yummy copper washi tape is from the 'Affectionately Yours' pack.

'Hey There Friend'- another cool 'Scenic Sayings' stamp.  Bold, funky and modern.  I was inspired by a gift bag in the catty for this diagonal design.

See the doily?  That's a metallic foil doily turned upside down.  The background spots are from 'Gorgeous Grunge'- a very well used stamp set, that's for sure.

Don't overlook the 'Scenic Sayings' set.  I give it the thumbs up.  Thanks for visiting. xx

'In this World' Easel Card

We had our Nelson Extravaganza yesterday.  Huge thanks to Jacque for coming down, all the demos who taught and helped on the day and of course the lovely guests who attended the day.  It's a big, fun day that's for sure.

The theme was 'messy' this time.  My Easel card had a lot of inking and sponging.  Dyeing the burlap was pretty messy but I had done that for the ladies ahead of time.  I used a few drops of Dapper Denim Reinker in  a ziplock bag and coloured about a metre at a time.

The door opens to reveal the rest of the sentiment and a little puppy ('Sitting Here').  'Timeless Textures' stamps were used around the edges of the panel and the 'porch'.  The inks used in the card are Dapper Denim, Early Espresso, Tip Top Taupe and the door was sponged in 'Soft Suede'.

Thanks for looking :) Sal.

Serene Scenery Suite and Bonus Days

Sometimes it's nice to keep things super simple.  Inspired by a card in the catty I put together these simple numbers.

All of the cards use Serene Scenery DSP and the Scenic Sayings stamp set.  The first cards have Pool Party Stitched Satin Ribbon and use Bermuda Bay ink.

Using the same suite but this time with a Delightful Dijon colour way.  The 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon is lovely too.

Last but not least there is a promotion on at the moment BONUS DAYS.  Spend $110 now, receive a $11 coupon valid 2-31 August.

If you live in NZ and don't have a demonstrator I would love to help you sally.robertson@email.com

Have a wonderful weekend.  One week until the Nelson Extravaganza.

Jar of Love

'Jar of Love' is a wonderfully huge stamp set- 37 stamps!  It lends itself to many possibilities.  It was one of the first sets that jumped out at me when I first viewed the new catty.

The following two projects I taught last class.  Firstly a shaker card using some window sheet and our new foam adhesive strips.

Next up, still using 'Jar of Love' a 'Cut Apart Card'.  The ladies chose DSP from the 'Serene Scenery Pack'.  Such a versatile pack of paper!!  I have taught this type of card a couple of times lately and it seems to be well received.  Relatively easy to do but quite different as well.

If you're interested in attending the Nelson Extravaganza on the 23rd July please let me know!

I will be teaching along with Jacque, Adriana,  Rebecca and Sarah.

Our theme is ‘Get Messy’.  Come along and learn some fun techniques.
