Celebrate Today

How's your summer going?  I hope you have enjoyed some R and R!  My family and I have been kayaking a bit which has been a lot of fun.  Love the feeling of being out on the water and the 'togetherness'.

My card today was inspired by a Kristine McNickle design.  I have used the new Botanical Gardens DSP and a Sale-a-Bration set that you can earn for free- Flowering Fields.

The sweet sentiment comes from the new "Enjoy the Little Things' set.  I REALLY like this set.  'Dream Big', 'Love This Life' and 'Enjoy the Little Things' are just a few of the sentiments it contains.

Enjoy your weekend doing what you enjoy.  Sally.

Enjoy the Little Things

This is what I created for my local team swap.  A set of little 'balloon builder' tags in one of S U's wee square envelopes.

Meet the little creatures.  It was fun creating them from the balloon builder stamps!  I gave them a 'wink of stella' to make them shine (IRL).  I wouldn't be without this brush now.

To make the grass I stamped the balloon string, and painted ink from my Old Olive Ink pad.  The features were drawn on with a black Stampin' Marker.

I have used 'Enjoy the Little Things' a lot already.  Such a great sentiment for cards and scrapbooking alike.  That's what life is about after all- the little things! :)

Hope your weekend is going well.  Sally.  :)

Birthday Blooms

Birthday blooms was not a set that originally caught my eye.  I have to say though that I love it and it stamps up oh so beautifully.

I stamped the flower with Memento black ink onto shimmery white cardstock and then I used my SU ink pads to watercolour the image with aqua painters.  My colours are Island Indigo, Soft Sky and Old Olive.  The recipient- an awesome friend- likes blue!

I just love the sentiments for their style and size.

Last but not least I used the new Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in clear.  It is very hard to see the delicate shimmer on the flower but it's stunning IRL.  I thought I had enough glittery products in my stash but I am very happy that I purchased the brush.   It's like a subtle shine, that's easy to apply, no mess, flat, quick drying and you have control over where it goes (making it easy to add highlights to your image).  I am thrilled with it as you will be.  The gold brush is next on my list!  :)

Happy Together Layout

It's been a while since I shared a Layout.  This creation is for my Canada album and features Everyday Chic and Farmers Market DSP.  I was inspired by a page made by my friend Tracey Agnew.

I enjoyed working in black and white, adding pops of 'Blackberry Bliss'.  The Crazy About You stamps and Hello You dies are really useful for scrapping with.  Here I have used them for the title.

The washi tape is also 'Everyday Chic', which coordinates with the DSP.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the Year End Sale NZ (ends Jan 4th) if you haven't done so already.  Happy New Year!
