Foxy 40!

A Twist and Pop card certainly makes a WOW statement.  Here's a card I made for a friend last year.

The belly band is made with silver glimmer paper, with our luxurious satin ribbon in silver also.

The sentiment on the card front is stamped and punched using the 'Thoughtful Banners' bundle.  VERY versatile, I use this often.  Not to forget the sweet foxy bundle and DSP.

The inside sentiment and '40' come from the 'Number of Years'.  Lots of friends and family have had BIG birthdays and anniversaries over the last year so I have really appreciated this set!    More of the foxy DSP inside too.

Off to another wedding tomorrow.  The card I have made is not your ordinary wedding card!  I will look forward to sharing that with you sometime soon.  Have a great weekend!

'Lift Me Up' Tiny Treat Boxes

Feautured in the Sale-a-Bration catalogue (page 6) is a cute treat box idea using the Lift Me Up bundle and the Carried Away DSP.  I had fun creating these!

'Lift Me Up' is a very versatile stamp set, with co-ordinating dies.  I can't wait to create cards and scrapbook pages with this set.

The bright and fun DSP lining the boxes can be earnt with any purchase of $110 through March 31st.

In addition to the bundle and DSP I have used:
  • Tiny Treat Boxes
  • Affectionately Yours Cardstock Pack and Whisper White Cardstock
  • Night of Navy Ink and Twine
  • Calypso Coral Twine

Calendar gifts

I made a few varying calendars as Christmas gifts this last season.  I was pleased with how they turned out and was able to vary the design to suit.

This first sea themed design was for our son's sea cub leaders.  The stamps used are from the following sets:
  • Water colour wash for the background
  • From Land to Sea (lighthouse)
  • Sheltering Tree (sand)

For the most part I gifted them flat, with some tear and tape applied and instructions of how to adhere.  (Bottom pic is just propped up for the photo!).

One of my team members received the following 'Floral Boutique' design.  The flowers have been fussy cut from the beautiful DSP.

Have a wonderful weekend my friends. x

A special wedding

We had a lovely time at our young friend's wedding late December.  The colour theme was night of navy and peek-a-boo peach.  This is the 'Twist and Pop' card I came up with, using the 'Floral Boutique Suite' (page 76-77 AC).

The Envelope Punch Board is perfect for making custom envelopes for special occasions.  The circles have been die cut using the Stitched Framelits which are available again now!

For the belly band I used Silver Glimmer paper, fastened by half a velcro dot.  The flower has been stamped (Floral Phrases) and fussy cut.  Some silver metallic thread has been nested behind it.

Purchase the Floral Boutique Bundle and DSP and then choose a free Sale-a-Bration product (until March 31).  sally.robertson@email.com

A few of my favourite things........

Welcome to my Stampin' Up! blog.  Today's post is my application to be an onstage stamper in April 2017 (NZ).  If you'd like to join me at this demonstrator event please contact me.  It's a super fun day with loads of laughs, inspiration and crafting.

CARD SAMPLES

My first share uses the new Sale-a-bration set 'Hey, Chick'.  I created this card for the Creative Inkers Team swap in December.

The Owl and the Pussy Cat went to Sea...

A watercoloured fairy from 'Fairy Celebration'.

Using 'Cupcakes and Carousels' DSP and drawing inspiration from a Sketchabilities sketch, here are our three munchkins having a whale of a time immersed in bubbles...

3D SAMPLES

It's official, I'm in love with the new Dragonfly Dreams bundle.  For this sample I have altered a box and filled it with a few co-ordinating items.  Come and see....

I have used some new products from the Occasions Catalogue, which is hot off the press.  On the box I have:  Cupcakes and Carousels DSP, Dragonfly thinlet, and the background copper embossed dots and sentiment are from the 'Dragonfly Dreams' stamp set.

Inside the recipient will find a set of three notecards using the very sweet bumblebee, (also from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set), three decorated mini tic-tac packs and a co-ordinating note pad.

Check out the super 'Hexagons Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder'.  It really is something else!  How perfect is it for that sweet bee!!!!  The stitched dies should be available again really soon.  They are a must have in my opinion.

Our eldest turned ten in December and this was his 'card in a box'.  I was delighted that Stampin' Up! produced the 'Beetles and Bugs' stamp set as it's totally up his alley.  It also features in the new '2017 Occasions Catalogue'.

As I compiled my application it saw me reminiscing about my time last year as a display stamper.  It was not an overly easy time for me as my Nana-in-law became very ill down in Dunedin.  It was a bit touch and go as to whether I could make on-stage at all.  What touched me and sticks with me is the support I received from fellow onstage stamper Delys Cram, who messaged me every other day, asking about Nana.  In addition Emma Parkin-Wilson (NZ manager) was very supportive through this time.  Thanks again ladies for your kindness at this time.  This is the true heart of Stampin' Up!

Happy New Year and thank you so much for visiting today.

Beautiful Pine Card by Diane

I was thrilled to receive this stunning card by my friend and team member Diane.

She has used the 'Pretty Pine' Thinlit Dies with silver foil for an elegant vintage look.  The large Hardwood stamp combines well with 'Gorgeous Grunge' for the background.

Thanks for looking.  Three sleeps till the big day!

Teacher gifts

I am so pleased that I had some of the 'White Gift Boxes' on hand this holiday season.  They feature in the holiday catalogue (page 7) and are food safe.

The boxes I feature here are as easy as 1-2-3!

Step one:  Emboss the whole flat box throught the Big Shot using the EF of your choice (featured is 'Lovely Lace').  Then assemble the box- easy as all the scoring is done.

Step two:  Tie ribbon around the box as shown.  The Real Red stitched ribbon is RETIRING (3/1/17 )and is currently discounted.  The Watermelon ribbon (right) is in the main catty.

Step three:  Punch and stamp a tag!

Then of course fill the box with your gift.  The plastic sleeve means that the ribbon and embellishments stay in tact as it slides off and on, enabling easy access for you and the recipient.

The boxes are a nice size!  I fit about seven pieces of num nums in each....

Today's jobs include icing my son's Birthday cake and buying some fresh strawberries and raspberries to decorate it.  Finishing his Birthday card is also on the list.  I was clever enough to have a baby right before Christmas!  Such fun.  Blessings x
