Beautiful Pine Card by Diane

I was thrilled to receive this stunning card by my friend and team member Diane.

She has used the 'Pretty Pine' Thinlit Dies with silver foil for an elegant vintage look.  The large Hardwood stamp combines well with 'Gorgeous Grunge' for the background.

Thanks for looking.  Three sleeps till the big day!

Teacher gifts

I am so pleased that I had some of the 'White Gift Boxes' on hand this holiday season.  They feature in the holiday catalogue (page 7) and are food safe.

The boxes I feature here are as easy as 1-2-3!

Step one:  Emboss the whole flat box throught the Big Shot using the EF of your choice (featured is 'Lovely Lace').  Then assemble the box- easy as all the scoring is done.

Step two:  Tie ribbon around the box as shown.  The Real Red stitched ribbon is RETIRING (3/1/17 )and is currently discounted.  The Watermelon ribbon (right) is in the main catty.

Step three:  Punch and stamp a tag!

Then of course fill the box with your gift.  The plastic sleeve means that the ribbon and embellishments stay in tact as it slides off and on, enabling easy access for you and the recipient.

The boxes are a nice size!  I fit about seven pieces of num nums in each....

Today's jobs include icing my son's Birthday cake and buying some fresh strawberries and raspberries to decorate it.  Finishing his Birthday card is also on the list.  I was clever enough to have a baby right before Christmas!  Such fun.  Blessings x

Christmas Magic

Here's a fun card CASED from Beatrice Salazar Redd on the Facebook group Stampin' Cafe.  It's a fun interactive card, where the train slides along the track.  A fun card to give a family with little people!

Christmas Magic is such a neat stamp set and it is retiring Jan 3rd.  With the exception of the stripes and splatters, all the other images you see are from this set.

To make the train track I used a 'Sliding Star' die and attached dimensionals and washers to the back of the train to enable it to move along the 'tracks'.  The splatters and stripes are from 'Gorgeous Grunge'- a MUST HAVE!

Hope you're keeping on top of it all at the moment.  Such a busy time!  Blessings. x

Candy Cane Lane DSP

Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) is just lovely.  The colour scheme of Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Real Red and Whisper White is fresh and oh so nice!

My first share is a 'batch' of tags that I whipped up to pop in with customer orders the other week.  The birdhouse has been fussy cut from the DSP, with dazzling diamonds glitter sprinkled for extra sparkle!  Thanks to Billie Moan for the inspiration behind these tags.

At the Nelson Extravaganza my guests received a Tiny Treat Box with a little NZ made soap from http://thehoneybunchshop.com/ .  Their soaps are divine!

Again I  have used Candy Cane Lane DSP and handmade the bows using S.U's Bow Builder punch.  I'm glad I treated myself to this punch for the holiday season.  It just completes the boxes nicely!

I mixed and matched the patterns for a fun look....

It's not too late to order for your Christmas projects.  Sally x

Extravganza project and BIG sale

Hello friends.  My project share today is what I taught at the Nelson Extravaganza yesterday.  What a fun and smooth sailing day it was!  Thanks to all the demos who taught and helped and of course to our lovely guests who support our event!

My card is very white and sparkly- the photo doesn't do it justice.

ALL the stamps used are from 'Christmas Magic'.  The dies are 'Santa's Sleigh Thinlets' and 'Layering Ovals'.  The Window sheet gives a 'Peek-a-Boo' effect.

I just love Glimmer Paper!  To add extra sparkle the 'Fine Tipped Adhesive' was used and Dazzling Diamonds glitter sprinkled over the branch tips, under the trees and on the sign.  'Soft Sky' ink was applied using an Aqua Painter.

There's a BIG sale coming up tomorrow.  Here's the scoop.......

*Please note the two 24-hour flash sales*

Don't miss a bargain!

Pleaase contact me to order NZ wide.

Happy Crafting!  Sally

Make it a Pinecone Christmas!

Thanks to Jacque Williams for this lovely card design.

I love the colour scheme used here (Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Mint Macaron).  The Kraft rope trim adds an extra special touch!

The sentiment is from the co ordinating 'Christmas Pines' stamp set, which has 25% off through November.

I totally adore the copper pinecone embellishments.  I also used 'Gold Wink of Stella' on the diecut pinecone.  Stunning IRL...

I am looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow at the Nelson Stampin' Up! Extravaganza.  Please contact me for last minute bookings 021 2375240

Reindeer Cookie Cutter

I was inspired by Dawn Griffiths to make this simple card.  It was one I taught at last month's 'Stamp-a-Stack'.  Stamp, stamp, stamp, stick, punch, done! (well almost) :)

Woodland Merry Mice

This Merry Mouse is singing in the woods.  I was inspired by a card made by 'The Serene Stamper', Tina Zinck.

I chose to demo this card at a workshop yesterday as it showed a lot of techniques and product.

  • Inking and then stamping on the woodland folder (for the demo I used soft sky and dapper denim which created a more subtle look)
  • Fine tipped glue and dazzling diamonds glitter on the trees
  • Stamping and punching the holly
  • Watercolouring the holly and mouse
  • Using Mica Flakes for the snow under the mouse.

The trees are stamped in 'Garden Green' using 'Lovely as a Tree' stamps (a classic set).

Merry Mice has 25% off through November (down to $27NZD clearmount).  It's a lovely set!

Last of all- will you join us at the Extravaganza in Nelson?  Would love to hear from you.

Until next time! Sally x

Pull Up Pines

Every 4-6 weeks my team meet together and one person shares a project for everyone to make (completely optional for members).  Today's share was one that Diane taught us.  Isn't it exquisite!  I absolutely adore the 'Pretty Pines Thinlets'- they are just gorgeous for layering on cards and off the page projects.

Spot the metallic thread in 'Cherry Cobbler'.  Don't miss out on this Holiday Catalogue item.

The sentiments on the 'pull out' part of the card are from the co-ordinating stamp set 'Christmas Pines'.  These are on special through November

If you live in NZ and you would like to find out about joining my team please don't hesitate to contact me.  Blessings. Sally.

Cookie Cutter Baby

Last month I taught this card using the Cookie Cutter bundle.

After embossing the cardstock ('Sparkle embossing folder)' I inked under the left corner by rubbing the cardstock directly over the inkpad and then curled it around using a kebab stick.

Mica flakes have been used around the edge of the circle and as accents on the wee eskimo.  Pom-pom trim adds interest!

I gave the ladies the option of a gingerbread man too- using sheer Mint ribbon and Mint scalloped circle, with Crumb Cake ink and mat (in place of the Basic Gray).  I loved this version that some of the ladies made! (**yes should have taken a pic** LOL).

Thanks to the lovely women who came along to my Stamp-a-Stack today.  Photos of the cards will be posted within the next few weeks.

Save the Date-  NOV 19th for the Nelson Extravganza.  Please contact me to book a place:  sally.robertson@email.com

Have a good weekend. x

Sweet Gingerbread Man

Today's share is a sweet and simple card that I made using the 'Cookie Cutter' bundle for a local team swap here in Nelson.  It's a super punch and stamp set bundle that I am enjoying a lot!

The heart 'buttons' are punched from Real Red Glimmer paper.  The glitter detail is 'Dazzling Diamonds' glitter, adhered using the 'Fine Tipped glue'.

More to come with this bundle in future weeks...

The Embossing Folder is also from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.  Here I have used a sponge dauber to add colour and highlight the branches.

Next Friday (28/10/16) I am hosting a Stamp-a-Stack in Nelson.  I have one or two places left.  Please contact me if you would like to create a stack of 6 cards.  sally.robertson@email.com

Have a super weekend!  Sally.

Mini Merry Mice Shakers

Oh how I love these sweet little Merry Mice!  I used them to make three shaker frames which will become Christmas tags or tree decorations.

I have fussy cut and coloured the mice using Stampin' Up! inks and aquapainters.  To die cut the scalloped frame and backing I used the Layering Circle Framelits.  I am reaching for my layering dies a lot!

To fill the shakers I used the new Mica Flakes and Fancy Frost Sequins (Holiday Catalogue).  The see through plastic is die cut 'window sheet'.

The quality and weight of Stampin' Up!'s Glimmer Paper is just great.  Pictured is Blushing Bride and Dazzling Diamond.  To raise the frame up to create the shaker I used 'Foam Adhesive Strips' which forms circles well!
