Numbers Sneak Peek

My in-laws recently celebrated a very special occasion- their 50th wedding anniversary.  The Number of Years Stamps and coordinating framelits were perfect to make them a special card.

I am enjoying using the glimmer paper with the number dies.  50 years is a golden anniversary- so the gold glimmer paper was just the thing!

The colour scheme I have used includes Perfect Plum, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizazz.

The Embossing Folder 'Softly Falling' will be continuing into the new Occasions catalogue.

The new stamps and dies used to make this card can be ordered from Jan 5th, when the Occasions catalogue goes live.

Enjoy the sun and festivities.  Blessings xo

Gift packaging

Hello there.

At this time of year we need quick and simple gift packaging ideas right?  I am enjoying my Stampin' Up supplies for this purpose.  Simple but effective.  Come and see...

I wanted to take a couple of little gifts to a work lunch of hubby's.  So I whipped these up in a flash.

I love the sentiment 'Have Yourself a very Merry Christmas'.  It comes from the 'Cozy Christmas' set- probably my most used set this season.  It is included in the Year End Sale.

The Tiny Treat Boxes are topped with bows made with the 'Bow Builder' punch.  I used red and gold glimmer paper to make them.  The glimmer paper is a lovely weight and is super sparkly.  It's hard to tell from the photos but I also used a gold ink (retired) with Gorgeous Grunge stamps around the body of the boxes.

Lastly a couple of gift bags using the antlers from 'Wonderland'.  The striped red ribbon is also on special at present.

Have a great weekend.  The last before Christmas- as if you didn't know that!. xo

Jingle all the way

I was inspired by a set of small cards by Kristine McNickle.

Some of the products I have used are in the Year End Sale.  I will detail these at the end of the post.

First up:  Silent Night with a touch of Lost Lagoon.

'Merry Everything' with a very neutral, but elegant palate.

I must say that I LOVE the Wonderland Embellies.  They are stunning IRL and I have nearly used my whole pack.  Yes they are in the sale. :)

Last but not least is 'Jingle all the Way' for a fun child friendly card.

Which one is your favourite?

The items used that are in the New Zealand Year End sale are:  Winter Wonderland Vellum ($12.75), Winter Wonderland Washi tape ($6.45), Winter Wonderland embellishments ($12.75), Jingle all the way stamps ($25.50 clear mount).  The sleigh ride edgelits have sold out already unfortunately.

Follow the link to the sale- while stocks last!  NZ Year End Sale

Silent Night with Dazzling Diamonds

This was one of the projects that I taught in last week's card class.  Cynthia Millan's creations were the inspiration behind this card.

First we stamped the trees and sentiment and sponged the background using blushing bride, soft sky and night of navy.  Then we applied versamark ink all over the panel, sprinkled heat and stick powder and heated.  Finally 'dazzling diamonds' glitter was sprinkled and then heated.  This glitter is so yummy and sparkly!  LOVE.

All orders placed before Christmas will receive a small gift.

Blessing.  Sally

Rudolph Tags

I was inspired by a card made by Billie Moan to make these fun tags.  What a great way of using the antlers from the 'Wonderland' stamp set. Quick, easy and fun!  Have a lovely weekend.

Festive Flower Punch

Here's a couple of projects that I made for a good friend using the 'Festive Flower Punch'.  I was inspired by Laurie Wilson to make this fun sunflower.  It was a cool topper for a pack of seeds.  The bee is fussy cut from English Garden DSP.

To make the tag I used fewer petals with Typeset DSP and curled them in with a bone folder.  The corner detail on the punch is made using the 'Curvy Corner Trio Punch'.

Thanks for looking!  Have a wonderful weekend.  :)  Sally

Hearth and Home Part 5

You may be wondering how many parts there are to my Hearth and Home series.  Well that's the million dollar question!  LOL.

This window scene was created by using a piece of vellum (Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack) over 'Old Olive' to create a lovely muted green (greener IRL).

The banner has been fussy cut and is from the 'Endless Thanks' stamp set.

Hearth and Home: Part 4

The Hearth and Home dies are versatile.  Why wouldn't you look out the window and see a pink dinosaur stomping about a flower bed in the rain? :)

The stamps are 'No Bones about it' (dino) and 'Sprinkles of Life' (rain, flowers and sentiment).  The window die teams up nicely with the brick wall embossing folder.

If you need a demonstrator (NZ) please contact me to order Stampin' Up supplies.  All orders between now and Christmas 2015 receive a free gift.  sally.robertson@email.com
Blessings.  xo

Hearth and Home: Part three

I can't claim this card as my own.  Ria Kaire created this beauty.  I like her clever use of the die to create a double window.  Isn't the scene she created neat and I just LOVE the cat in black shimmer paper.

Stamp sets used:  Cozy Christmas and Happy Scenes
Dies used:  Hearth and Home, Festive Fireside and Christmas Greetings

Thanks Ria for permitting me to share today.

Hearth and Home: Part two

In today's project I used the Hearth and Home window die to create a sweet envelope topper for a friend.  The envelope punch board is a very cool tool and here I have used a sweet print from English Garden DSP.

The stamp sets used are 'Sheltering Tree' and the wee dog comes from 'Jingle all the Way'.  I have used this dog quite a few times in a variety of projects.

Hearth and Home Series: Part One

I have been enjoying the Hearth and Home dies from Stampin' Up!  Welcome to part one of a series focusing on this die set.

This first card is super simple, using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the window.  I love how this die adds a quick and easy layer.

The stamp set used is 'Festival of Trees'.  To achieve the brown trunks I used an aqua painter and Crumb Cake ink.

Hello Squirrel: Scrapbooking with Into the Woods

On my recent trip to Canada I made a point of keeping a close eye out for furry little creatures.  When I was sitting with a friend and her son at the park, I enjoyed this little guy scampering along the grass and up a tree.  As we don't have squirrels in New Zealand they are a novelty.  I'm sure my Canadian friends must think I'm bonkers!!

The squirrels (non SU dies) have been cut with Black Glimmer Paper.  I have fussy cut a tiny acorn from 'Into the Woods' DSP for two of them to munch on.  The poor little guy on the left is searching LOL.

My background consists of Hardwood and Awesomely Artistic (again!) stamps.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the 'Into the Woods Elements' as they are soooo lovely IRL.

Have a great weekend.  Off to a scrapbooking class this afo.  Can't wait. xo

Joyful in Soft Sky

'Joyful Season' is a lovely set and it doesn't have to be all about Christmas.  Here I have used the bird images to make a delightful yet simple birthday card.  Come and see...

Mr bird has had a 'make-over' in soft sky and island indigo.  Maybe a little more like a Blue Jay than a Red Cardinal?  I reach for the 'notecards' a lot.  Love working in that size.  I have stamped the berries on the envelope front.

The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics.  Love the sparkly Glitter Ribbon from the holiday catalogue.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.  Thanks for looking.  Blessings.  Sal :)

Sleigh Ride Edgelits in a Mini Matchbox

Welcome to my little blog.  Come and see what I crafted for a special friend......

I embellished the inside of this mini matchbox using the 'Sleigh Ride Edgelit Dies' which feature in the new holiday catalogue. They are just gorgeous!

You can really see the sparkle in the 'Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper' below.

I just love working in 'micro'- despite the fiddly bits.

I've used gold metallic thread again.  It really is my 'go to' at present!!

For the SU products I have used, please see the following supply list.  Thanks for looking.

Love to Scrap

Here's a LO that I did at Jacque Williams' class a wee while back.  For this page I used her design, just changed up the colours and embellies a bit.

I created another page in my own time.  I like the design and the fact that you can use up scraps, emboss and have fun playing- within a colour scheme if desired.

Most of the product in the above LOs are current.  The 'love' die cut is non SU.  Photos are taken by Steve Hussey.

Merry and Bright

Adriana Koch and I ran an event 'Merry and Bright' in Nelson yesterday afternoon.  Thanks to all the lovely ladies who came, to Bev who 'supplied' the room and to Adriana for all her hard work and support.

I am still pretty pumped.  Events are interesting things.  Pre 'Stampin' Up' I really hadn't been involved in event planning.  There's a lot that goes into them but there's nothing like the feeling at the end when you've pulled it off.  That people have had a great time creating and have been inspired in one way or another.  So cool.

Here's the card I taught....

Secondly, a set of three vintage inspired tags using the stamp sets 'Cozy Christmas' and 'Joyful Season'.

Here is a supply list for the above tags and card.  Thanks for looking.  Sal :)
