Altered Notebook with Swallowtail

Here's a notebook that I crafted for one of my Canadian 'sisters'.  I was inspired by a design I found on Pinterest by Monica Gale.

This project has some of my most loved S U supplies as I am a sucker for vintage.

**The washi tape is part of the Everyday Chic range and it is on special this week in NZ until 6/10/15) **

I started by covering a standard everyday notebook with Typeset DSP and went from there.  The splatter background is made using a stamp from the 'Awesomely Artistic' set.  I reach for this a lot.

Thanks for looking!  Sal

Acorn Love

I love woodland!  My first purchase from the new 2015 S U Holiday catalogue was the Acorny Thank you stamp set and coordinating Acorn Builder punch.

I made 25 of these little guys for a team swap that I participated in.  They were fun to design and put together.

To tie the accordion mini together I used the new Cording trim.  It's lovely and the smell of the trim reminded me of Christmas as a child.

The colour scheme is:  Rich Razzleberry/ Bermuda Bay/ Tip Top Taupe and Crushed Curry

I used the alphabet rotary stamp for 'U' and layered it onto a small punched gold foil heart (Itty Bitty Accents Punch).

When I use the metallic thread I wrap it around a couple of fingers and then press the 'ball' down onto a mini glue dot.  Love how this works.  You can push the thread back into the dot or pull it out more to extend.

Awesomely Artistic Card

I made this card using 'Awesomely Artistic' a few months back when I was deciding what make and take to do for my catalogue release.  I liked how this card turned out, but opted not to use it (mostly due to all the fussy cutting).

My colour scheme uses the latest in-colours (three of them).  You will notice that I used the raised embossed side of the bricks.  Like?  To add a bit of pizazz I applied 'dazzling details' on the dragonfly and 'metallic thread' under the sentiment.  Can't stop using this at the moment- it's my go-to!  For a complete supply list please see below.

Muslin Bags with Awesomely Artistic

I hand stamped some Stampin' Up! Mini Muslin bags to take as gifts on my recent trip to Canada.

They worked really well.  I packed them flat and then assembled them there with a beautiful NZ soap, a pre stamped 'Friend' sentiment and a mini metallic peg.

The stamping was done with S U inks and I mostly used the 'Awesomely Artistic' stamps.  Love this set!  It is certainly one of my TOP picks from the annual catalogue.
