Wood Crate Party Favours

It's Birthday central at our place at the moment with two of our sons sharing the same special day.  I had so much fun making these party favours for my 'baby's' fourth birthday party.

The monster stamp is from 'Yummy in My Tummy'- retiring soon.  The sweet crate is from a new set 'Wood Crate Framelit Dies' which will be available for purchase come June the 1st.  I die cut the crates from Crumb Cake Cardstock and stamped them with the 'Hardwood' stamp before assembling.

There is room in each crate to add a few treats for the little people.  I'm thinking a small bouncy ball and balloon to take home.

Like the fresh greeny colour?  It's the new In-Colour 'Lemon Lime Twist'.  It sure is yummy!  I've used 'Tempting Turquoise' and 'Tangerine Tango' on the other monsters. The paws are coloured in 'Powder Pink' (also new),

Not long now until these furry guys will go to their new homes AND in just over a week the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue goes live.  Exciting!

Moon Baby and introducing Powder Pink

Moon Baby is a super cute stamp set.  Thank you to Paula Dobson as she inspired these sweet baby cards.

The clouds are from the 'Lift me Up' set and I have heat embossed them in white.

The new in-colour 'Powder Pink' is just gorgeous.  This will be available June 1st.  To colour the images I have stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and used an aqua painter with SU ink.  My favourite method of colouring!

The stitched framelits are so useful.  Quite possibly my most used dies.  I love them.  The set has four squares, four circles and four ovals.  The scalloped circle is from the 'Layering Circle Dies' set.

These little babys are heading off for sale in the Little Shop on Alabama, Blenheim NZ.

Have a lovely weekend!

Tiny Treat Boxes

Today's share is some tiny treat boxes I made for my lovely mum to sell.  I believe there are still some for sale at the 'Little Shop on Alabama' in Blenheim.

I am pleased that the 'Bow Builder Punch' and 'Clear Tiny Treat Boxes' will still be available in the next Annual Catalogue!

Each clear box contains two beautiful handmade in NZ soaps that are simply divine!  The little tag is attached with 'Linen Thread' (a staple in my stash!).

I made futher boxes inspired by my friend Brenda's design.  These kraft boxes are retired but the following supplies are continuing into the new catalogue:
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (bow)
  • Bow Builder Punch
  • 5/8" Burlap Ribbon
  • Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim
  • Birthday Blossoms Stamp set (sentiment)
  • Foil sheets in Gold, Silver and Copper

It's a dreary day here in Nelson.  Stay warm!

Alien and a Sneak Peek

Today's share has the pretty cool alien from 'Yummy in My Tummy'.  Master four thought he was pretty awesome as he did the NEW in colour LEMON LIME TWIST.  I'm super stoked with this new colour.  Fresh, funky and modern.  The colour appears in the new annual catalogue which goes live June 1st.

'Yummy in My Tummy' is retiring at the end of May.  I have also used the 'Number of Years' bundle which is just awesome for kid's birthdays, anniversaries and big 'adult' birthdays IYKWIM.

I used an aquapainter and ink on Shimmery White Cardstock to colour in the alien.  To get the slimey effect I used the 'Fine Tipped Adhesive'' over him.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks within the next few weeks!

Picture Perfect

It's that time of year where many of the current Stampin' Up! products are retiring.  One of the sets on the retiring list is 'Picture Perfect'.  I decided to teach with this set in card class last week and this was the design we made (inspired by 'Crafty Little Peach').

To create the background we used watercolour paper, an aquapainter, spritzer and ink.  I love the arty randomness of this technique!  The background inks were 'Bermuda Bay' and 'Cucumber Crush' (also retiring).

The beautiful lace die cut is from the set 'So Detailed'.  I can't believe this die set is also retiring and is discounted in price!

Four stamps created the hummingbird.  The detail and texture created is amazing.  To get this colour combination I followed the order of the numbered stamps in the set and used the following inks:
1.  Bermuda Bay
2.  Bermuda Bay inked off
3.  Cucumber Crush
4.  Elegant Eggplant

Here's another project I blogged last year.  This was a little mini tag book I made for Onstage 2016.  The starfish and sentiments are also from the 'Picture Perfect' set.

Stay tuned over the next few weeks while I bring you some sneak peeks of the new catty.  x
