Garden in Bloom
The triple banner punch is great for quickly adding that extra element to cards. For this card I have punched vellum, stamped with Staz-on ink and then used markers to colour the reverse side.
The Stampin' Write Markers I used are the 2014-2016 In Colours.
Garden in Bloom is a fun set that lends itself well to lots of playing. You will be seeing more of it from me in the upcoming months.

Awesomely Artistic
Good morning. Today's card uses 'Awesomely Artistic'. I just love this set and the range of images it has.
Again I have used the background watercolour technique on the shimmery white cardstock.
Colour combo= Blackberry Bliss/ Mint Macaroon/ Tip Top Taupe.
Loving the randomness of the metallic thread. I use a glue dot and then scrunch and secure from there.

Summer Silhouettes Watercolour Technique
In my latest newsletter my 'top tip' was creating watercolour backgrounds on shimmery white cardstock. I used this technique for my team swap last month(pictured). The flower/leaves are all from 'Summer Silhouettes' and the sentiment from 'Choose Happiness'.
Spritzing and 'painting' with the aqua painters is fun! When it comes to stamping the images, if the cardstock is still a little damp, they bleed slightly creating a lovely effect. If the card is too wet then the images can turn to mush. I learnt that along the way :) The thing I like about this technique is that no two cards turn out exactly the same.
The shimmery white cardstock sparkles in the sun. It really is stunning IRL. The colours are tip top taupe, mint macaron, and watermelon wonder.

Keeping it simple
The two cards I have to share today are keeping it simple but are effective all the same. The both use the principles of repetition and working in groups of three.
For the first card I have used stamps from the 'Sheltering Tree' set. Love the colour combo of Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake.
The following card was made by my friend Brenda using the bow builder punch. Simple, classy, effective. Thanks Brenda, you're an inspiration!

Icecream and Apples
The 'Sprinkles of Life' stamp set is so versatile, which is what drew me to it. You can have so much fun playing!
For the card below I have used the tree builder punch for the ice cream and cherry and the triple banner punch also. To colour the cone I simply used an aqua painter over the already stamped image (ink is 'Delightful Dijon').
Next up- a basket of apples. I love how the rosy red apples pop against the soft muted background. I have surprised myself how much I'm reaching for the new 'Mint Macaron' colour. The Ornate Tag Topper is on special this week. Love it.
The accent on the apples has been made with a Stampin' Chalk Writer. The inspiration for this card came from this card here.
